Synergy Sports Logs Olympic Baseball Qualifier Games

With Baseball set to return to the Summer Olympic Games for the first time since 2008, Synergy Sports is logging every game from the Americas Qualifying Event this week in Florida, as part of their new partnership with the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). The event features host USA, alongside Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela, all vying for one automatic berth into the Tokyo Summer Olympics, and two additional spots in the last chance qualification tournament.

The games will be played across two stadiums in Florida, and Synergy Sports will be on-site with their specialized camera system at both venues to capture seven unique angles of every at-bat, recreating highly sought offer scouting vantage points. Using Synergy’s proprietary technology, video will be connected to thousands of data points for every game, creating a seamless video scouting experience that is currently used by all 30 Major League teams.

With the introduction of Synergy Sports’ technology at the Americas Qualifying Event, Olympic hopefuls and qualifiers will be able to prepare for Tokyo with more insight and knowledge than ever before, and scouts from professional leagues around the world will track some of the world’s best international talent.

Hide Sueyoshi, Assistant Director of International Baseball at Synergy Sports said, “Our presence at the Olympic Qualifier event is a huge testament to our new relationship with WBSC and their commitment to bringing the best scouting opportunities to baseball federations around the world. It is an honor to play a role in such an important event, and we look forward to helping teams gain every scouting advantage possible on their journey to Tokyo.”
