Synergy Sports today announced that it is making its MAX Editor product available to help Division I colleges return to sport. Synergy Sports software and services are currently used by every Division I men’s and women’s basketball teams in the USA. Clients are now being offered MAX Editor applications for use across every sport, with the first two years being at no cost, as part of a newly launched COVID-19 Relief Program and with nine colleges already signed up.

The Synergy Sports COVID-19 Relief Program has been designed to support schools facing the prospect of putting sports and teams on hold or discontinuing them entirely. It will create a lifeline by offering entire athletics departments access to premier video editing software – the same tool used by championship-winning elite and professional teams around the world – freeing up funds and enabling budgets to go further.

Synergy Sports MAX Editor provides video and analytics tools to make better coaching and scouting decisions, as well as the ability to seamlessly distribute content. Greater insights, combined with the ability to work more effectively and efficiently put teams in a better position to successfully navigate the challenges created by the pandemic.

Bryce Currie, Assistant Coach for the Eastern Washington University Women’s basketball team said, “We appreciate Synergy providing us an opportunity to use their MAX Editor during a time that many institutions are facing serious financial strain. Although COVID-19 has made things difficult for many of us, Synergy has stepped up and given us the chance to take great strides forward as a program with what the MAX Editor offers our staff and players.”

Davis Furman, Assistant Coach at Idaho State Men’s Basketball said “Our program has already got great use out of Synergy’s MAX Editor software this Fall. We appreciate Synergy’s willingness to support the financial implications from COVID-19 and allowing all our program to test this product using their COVID Relief Program.”

Discussing the initiative, Synergy Sports CEO Mark Silver said, “We have worked with college teams for over 12 years and our relationships are much more than just business. College sport is at the heart of many communities and are a beacon to unite people. Never before has the role of sports been more important in creating local pride and national cohesion, as well as giving hope and a sense of normalcy to young people. Doing what is best for sports is at the heart of Synergy Sports’ business, so helping college sports return to competitive play and weather this storm was a very natural step for us to take.”
